Instructions for Getting Started
Streaming your MediaMaster collection to your Windows Mobile phone requires loading a media player that supports MP3 streams. We recommend using Green Software’s GSPlayer. It’s FREE!
Step 1. Install Media Player Software on your computer
- Download directly from Green Software’s site here.
-or-
- Download from CNET’s Download.com here.
- Once downloaded, execute the setup file to install the application on your computer. The software will create a file for your phone’s ActiveSync directory to transfer.
Step 2. Send GSPlayer software to your Windows Mobile phone
- Use ActiveSync to transfer the GSPlayer to your device. If you install another media player software that supports MP3 streams, use the same process.
- Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable that came with your phone. ActiveSync should launch.
- Choose Add/Remove Program from the Tools Menu
- Select GreenSoftware GSPlayer and click OK. Make sure it’s checked. It should either sync immediately or the next time the device is connected. The install file is named GSPlayer.cab
Step 3. Launching the GSPlayer
- Once installed on your phone, select GSPlayer from your phone’s Program Files.

- The GSPlayer will start running.

- Select the Menu button on the lower right corner of the GSPlayer application screen.

- Chose the Associations tab. Confirm that msu and pls are checked, then click OK. This is the format your MediaMaster collection will be streamed to your phone.

Step 4. Log into your MediaMaster account and start streaming!
- Using Internet Explorer on your phone, navigate to the URL http://www.mediamaster.com/mobile.
- You will see MediaMaster’s Sign Up or Sign In page. Enter your MediaMaster Username and Password. Select the “Remember Me” button to make it easier when your return.
- Click on Listen. You will see a Download dialog box. Make sure that “Open file after download” is checked. Click Yes.

Troubleshooting:
- If the download link does not have an “Open file after download” checkbox, then the file associations (msu and pls) were not set correctly. Check the settings in GSPlayer.
- If the stream skips repeatedly, you likely have a very low bandwidth connection. Wi-Fi phones work well. Edge networks can only handle 64kbps mono radio streams reliably.
- Unfortunately Windows Media Player does not play back MP3 internet radio streams. It only plays Windows Media files for the time being.
- The Samsung Blackjack will not work with GSPlayer. The only we have found which works is PocketPlayer which can be purchased at http://www.pocketgear.com
